Passing and Legacy
Deemed worthy of the title State Artist in nineteen ninety-one, Zeki Müren passed away in September nineteen ninety-six during a program at the TRT Izmir Directorate.
Foundation Donations and Museum
Following his passing, the artist donated half of his assets to the Turkish Education Foundation and the other half to the TSK Mehmetçik Foundation. His house in Bodrum was later converted into the Zeki Müren Arts Museum.
