Binding Art and Restoration Exhibition Opens at Tophane-i Âmire
More than a thousand rare works restored at the Abdullah Tivnikli İSAR Research Center have met with book lovers at Tophane-i Âmire.
With bookbinding activities carried out within the body of the Abdullah Tivnikli İSAR Research Center, more than a thousand rare and historical works have been brought back to life and begun to be exhibited at Tophane-i Âmire.

More than a thousand rare works have been restored through meticulous bookbinding efforts carried out at the Abdullah Tivnikli İSAR Research Center since 2017.
Loyalty to the Book Exhibition
Works selected from the library housing approximately 50,000 books are welcoming visitors with the "Loyalty to the Book: Binding Art and Restoration Exhibition" opened at Tophane-i Âmire.
Historical Works and Manuscripts
The exhibition features numerous precious works extending from 500-year-old manuscripts to early period Ottoman printings, reflecting the history and binding craftsmanship carried by the books.
Important Works
The exhibition features works such as Muhyiddin Ibn al-Arabi's Fusus al-Hikam, Shaykh Ghalib's handwritten Divan, and one of the first Arabic-script printings of Nutuk.
Restoration Approach
It is stated that the goal in the restoration process is not to produce a flawless new book, but rather to preserve the time the work has lived through and the damage it has sustained.

Prepared on the occasion of Eksim Holding's 40th anniversary, the exhibition can be visited until September 13.
