Canakkale Culture Road Festival Begins
Led by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkey Culture Road Festival has opened its doors to art lovers with a rich program in its Canakkale stop.
Canakkale, the sixteenth stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, marked an opening day full of exhibitions, talks, and workshops.
A Busy Program on the First Day of the Festival
Canakkale, the sixteenth stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, hosted a wide variety of events on the first day of the festival.
A broad program ranging from talks and exhibitions to traditional art workshops, archaeological tours, and children's activities was brought together with art lovers.
Historical and Cultural Values Discussed
On the first day of the festival, held for the fifth time in Canakkale, the historical and cultural values of the city were addressed through various events.
In the programs organized for adults and children, participants both met with art and had the opportunity to closely discover Canakkale's thousands of years of history.
Deputy Minister Visits the Exhibition
Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı visited the Living Heritage Canakkale Exhibition located at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar.
Detailed examinations were conducted regarding the works exhibited and the cultural heritage of the city during the visit.
Troy and Mythology Talk
A talk titled "Troy, Myth, History, and Archaeology in Homer's World" was held with the participation of Prof. Dr. Rüstem Aslan at the Canakkale Mehmet Akif Ersoy Provincial Public Library.
The historical background and archaeological significance of the region were shared with the audience during the event.
Traditional Arts and Workshops
Within the scope of the Living Heritage Talk held at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar, Canakkale carpets were discussed.
In addition, tile and marbling workshops were held, along with an expert-led tour of the Ancient City of Troy.
Colorful Events for Children
Book, cinema, and art activities were organized for children, enabling young visitors to experience the excitement of the festival.
With PhotoMarathon Canakkale, the streets of the city were also reflected in colorful photographic frames.
