Liquidation and Refund Regulations in Fund Crisis Bill
During the parliamentary committee discussions, the verification of investor rights through central records for funds in liquidation and new refund calculation methods including inflation differences were brought to the agenda.
Two important amendment proposals regarding the liquidation process and refunds to investors were discussed at the committee meetings of the legislative proposal prepared for the fund crisis.
Investor Rights to be Clarified with CSD Records
According to the proposed new article regarding the liquidation process, fund ownership will be determined on a fund and account basis by the institutions in charge of liquidation through reconciliation with Central Registry Agency (CSD) records.
As a result of this comparison, it will be determined which investor holds how many shares in which fund and account, and it is aimed to verify ownership rights through central records.
Inflation Difference on Fund Refunds on the Agenda
Another regulation regarding the calculation of refunds to investors brings to the agenda the use of the arithmetic mean of CPI and D-PPI change rates as a basis.
In this way, it is aimed to take into account the loss of value of money over time due to inflation in refunds to investors and to apply a standard calculation method.
