The Turkey Culture Road Festival, held for the fifth time in Çanakkale this year, came to an end following the final events held yesterday.

Nine-Day Art Program

Implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the festival offered a rich culture and art program at various points throughout the city with concerts, exhibitions, interviews, workshops, children's activities, and gastronomy experiences.

Bringing Çanakkale's historical texture together with traditional and contemporary art disciplines, the events continued for nine days and concluded on September 6.

Traditional Tile Workshop Activities

At the tile workshop held in the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Hangar, traditional motifs of Turkish tile art were reinterpreted through the participants' work.

Organized under the guidance of Ayşe Işık, the characteristic features of Iznik and Kütahya tile art were discussed, highlighting floral and geometric motifs.

Excursion to the Ancient City of Alexandria Troas

Alexandria Troas, one of Çanakkale's important archaeological heritage sites, was explored on the final day of the festival with an expert-guided excursion event.

During the tour led by archaeologists, participants received information about the past of the ancient city and had the opportunity to examine the historical ruins on-site.

Respect for History Memorial Dive

The Respect for History Memorial Dive event took place in the Çanakkale Culture Road Festival program for the fourth time.

At the event held in the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion, children and youth met the sea, while attention was also drawn to the city's underwater and maritime history.

Children's Village Activities

Hosting children every day throughout the festival, the Children's Village at the Anatolian Hamidiye Bastion Children's Activity Area witnessed colorful scenes on the final day as well.

Many different activities, ranging from carnival tents and inflatable playgrounds to creative workshops and digital games, were brought together with the young participants.

Kayseri Stop Begins

The next stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival became Kayseri, and the events there were added to the calendar.

Starting on September 5, the Kayseri Culture Road Festival will continue to host art lovers until September 13.
