Çankaya Municipality Launches the 2026-2027 Culture and Arts Season
Çankaya Municipality brings together art lovers with a wide-ranging program spanning from theater to exhibitions, opera, and children's events in the new season starting in September.
Çankaya Municipality is kicking off the 2026-2027 culture and arts season with a comprehensive event calendar. Events to be held at key venues such as the Atatürk Art Center, Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center, and Yılmaz Güney Stage will bring different branches of art together with the residents of the capital until the end of the year.
Highlights of the Exhibition Program
The Doğan Taşdelen Contemporary Arts Center will host the exhibition 'Building a City: Ankara 1923-1933' from September 18 to December 31. Additionally, the exhibition 'Haymatlos: On Non-Belonging' awaits visitors from September 8 to 25.
While the exhibition 'Seam Allowance' will open at the Fikret Otyam Art Center on September 10, the exhibition titled 'Different Thoughts, Common Frequencies' will be presented to art enthusiasts between September 16 and October 4.
Theater and Performing Arts
In the new season, classic and beloved plays such as 'Kirli Sepeti', 'Hisseli Harikalar Kumpanyası', 'Entrikalı Dolap Komedyası', '7 Kocalı Hürmüz', 'Radyo-Yu Hümayun', and 'Hamlet' will meet the audience on the theater stage.
Within the scope of performing arts, Sunay Akın's show 'Memleket Kumaşı' will be staged on September 11. Furthermore, the opera 'Gangster' will offer a special experience for art lovers on September 26.
Special Events for Children
The program prepared for children kicks off with a children's songs concert to be held on September 5. Throughout the month, productions such as the 'Nutcracker Musical', 'Little Red Riding Hood', and 'Alice in Wonderland' will meet with children.
