City History and Culture Training for Students Begins in Izmir
Free history and culture training organized for primary school students within the body of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Piriştina City Archives and Museum begins in October.
The City History and Culture Training prepared by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Ahmet Piriştina City Archives and Museum for fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh-grade students is entering a new term.
Purpose and Date Range of the Training
Organized free of charge with the aim of helping students closely learn the past of the city they live in and gain cultural heritage awareness, the training will take place between October 6, 2026, and June 10, 2027.
Event Content and Books
Within the scope of the program, visual story presentations, workshops, and guided exhibition tours are organized. Children come together in morning and afternoon sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Classes are conducted through special children's books written about Izmir, and various books are gifted to the participants.
Application and Contact Information
Classroom teachers who want to participate in the events can complete their application procedures via APİKAM's telephone lines. The program is held at the museum building in the center of the city.
