Comprehensive Kurultay Held to Promote Turkish Culture in Hungary
At the international kurultay held in the Bugac region of Hungary, Turkish culture and art were introduced to the world through academic presentations, practical workshops, and historical demonstrations.
At the international event hosted by Akdeniz University's Culture, Art, Research and Application Center in Hungary, Turkish culture and art were showcased through academic papers, traditional art workshops, and various performances.
Details of the International Kurultay
Attended by 38 academics from approximately 10 universities, the kurultay held in the Bugac region of Hungary featured scientific papers presented on Turkish culture and art. The organization was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Eroğlu from Akdeniz University.
Traditional Arts and Demonstrations
In the event area, traditional Turkish arts such as indigo dyeing, felt making, weaving, marbling, miniature, calligraphy, and painting were introduced through practical applications. Additionally, equestrian combat demonstrations, archery, and traditional sports were performed.
Historical Traces and European Visits
Following the kurultay, which was attended by approximately 200,000 people, the Akdeniz University team visited Vienna, Prague, Budapest, Esztergom, Szigetvár, and Mohács to examine Ottoman-era works.
