Culture Road Festival Held for the First Time in Kahramanmaraş Begins
Within the scope of the nine-day events, 208 different programs at 14 different points will meet with art lovers.
The excitement of the festival has started for the first time in Kahramanmaraş, which is the 18th stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
Festival Started in Kahramanmaraş
The culture, art, and gastronomy marathon officially started in Kahramanmaraş, the 18th stop of the Turkey Culture Road Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Hosting the festival for the first time between September 12-20, the city will welcome visitors for nine days.
Events and Culinary Culture
Throughout the nine-day organization, a total of 208 events will be held at 14 different locations. The deep-rooted culinary culture, ranging from Maraş ice cream to sömelek meatballs, will be open for discovery at 52 designated Flavor Points.
High Participation in the Opening Program
The opening program of the festival was held at the Historic Kahramanmaraş Castle. Protocol members, members of parliament, and numerous art lovers participated in the program.
Statements by Protocol Figures
Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer stated that the festival will boost the morale of the city following the February 6 earthquakes. Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı recalled that the city was included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of literature in 2025.
Comprehensive Gastronomy and Concert Calendar
Famous names and chefs will take part in gastronomy programs within the scope of the festival. Kıraç, Alişan, Sefo, Ahmet Şafak, Derya Uluğ, Fatma Turgut, Ebru Yaşar, Merve Özbey, and Murat Boz will give concerts.
