Ekrem Özdemir, President of Sağlık-Sen Izmir Branch No. 2, announced that they broke a record in Izmir with 700 new members recently and that the total membership increase across branches has reached 1,200.

Record Numbers in Membership Growth

Ekrem Özdemir, President of Sağlık-Sen Izmir Branch No. 2, announced that they reached 700 new members through their recent efforts and thus broke a significant record in Izmir. The branch president stated that the total membership increase, together with other Sağlık-Sen branches, has reached the figure of 1,200.

Fieldwork and Strong Communication

It was particularly emphasized that this achieved success is a direct result of the strong communication established with healthcare workers in the field and the acquisition efforts carried out for the benefit of members. Özdemir stated that they listened to all the problems of healthcare workers firsthand on-site.

Various Services Offered to Members

Stating that the dues collected from members are utilized in areas that will benefit the members again, officials conveyed that many different services have been implemented, such as hotels in Ankara and Istanbul, the Sağlık-Sen Taxi application, and legal support.

Future Goals and Struggle for Rights

While underlining that the union has achieved over 100 significant gains to date, it was stated that the determined struggle to improve personal rights and increase on-call fees will continue uninterrupted.
