Culture Route Festival Held for the First Time in Kahramanmaraş Begins

Kahramanmaraş'ta ilk Kültür Yolu Festivali başladı

Implemented for the first time in Kahramanmaraş by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkey Culture Route Festival started with an opening program held at Kahramanmaraş Castle and will last for nine days with various events.

Opening Ceremony Held

The opening program took place at Kahramanmaraş Castle in Kahramanmaraş, which is hosting the Turkey Culture Route Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism for the first time.

Protocol members and numerous art lovers showed great interest in the heavily attended opening ceremony.

Protocol Participation and Support

Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, and Kahramanmaraş Mayor Fırat Görgel attended the opening program at Kahramanmaraş Castle.

Members of parliament and the provincial protocol also took part in the program, sharing the excitement of the festival's opening.

Morale and Revival

Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer stated that this festival, which will strengthen the morale and hope of Kahramanmaraş as it struggles to rise again following the February 6 earthquakes, is very valuable.

City of Literature and Rich Cuisine

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı reminded that Kahramanmaraş is the first city from Turkey to be included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of Literature in 2025.

Yazgı conveyed that the rich culinary culture will meet guests with 52 Taste Points within the scope of the festival.

Contribution to Economy and Tourism

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fırat Görgel stated that the festival will make significant contributions to the city's promotion, tourism, and economy.

Exhibitions and Event Schedule

Following the opening, protocol members visited the Living Heritage Kahramanmaraş exhibition located in Kahramanmaraş Castle.

Within the scope of the events lasting for nine days, exhibitions, workshops, talks, children's activities, and PhotoMarathon programs will be organized.

Artists and Concerts

Throughout the festival, Kıraç, Alişan, Sefo, Ahmet Şafak, Derya Uluğ, Fatma Turgut, Ebru Yaşar, Merve Özbey, and Murat Boz will give concerts.

Events will continue with various programs until September 20.
