DTSO and Association for Children First Signed for the Şanozar Project
A cooperation protocol has been implemented for the Şanozar Project, which will bring disadvantaged children together with Kurdish theater and creative drama in Diyarbakır.
The Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association for Children First have signed a cooperation and grant protocol for the Şanozar Kurdish Children's Theater Project, which will bring disadvantaged children together with Kurdish theater and creative drama.
Protocol Signing Ceremony Held
The Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Association for Children First took a joint step to support children's access to culture and art. The protocol was signed by DTSO Chairman of the Board Mehmet Kaya and Association for Children First President Rezan Kaya.
Disadvantaged Children Will Meet Art
Within the scope of the six-month project, work will be carried out with 15 children between the ages of 9 and 15 who live in Diyarbakır, are socio-economically disadvantaged, and know or speak Kurdish. It is targeted that at least fifty percent of the participants will be girls, and no fee will be charged from the children.
They Will Write and Stage a Kurdish Play
Kurdish theater and creative writing workshops will be held with the children for two months. Following improvisation, body work, stage exercises, story building, and character creation studies, the play written by the children will be staged publicly.
Safe and Creative Spaces
Headquartered in the Sur district of Diyarbakır, the Association for Children First enables children to spend time in safe and creative spaces and express themselves through art. The project strengthens young people's access to social and cultural activities.
