Prepared by the İzmir Metropolitan Municipality APİKAM, the "Kültürpark is 90 Years Old" exhibition will open to visitors on September 5 at the Kültürpark Pakistan Pavilion and can be viewed until the end of the year.

Exhibition Opening Date and Details

The Ahmet Piriştina Kent Arşivi ve Müzesi (Ahmet Piriştina City Archive and Museum) is bringing the exhibition prepared within the scope of the 90th anniversary of Kültürpark's establishment to art lovers on September 5 at the Kültürpark Pakistan Pavilion.

Curated by Aybala Yentürk, this special exhibition can be visited by visitors until December 31.

Republican Era and Reconstruction

Rising on the vast area created after the Great Fire of 1922, Kültürpark was built as a common living space representing the modernization and progress ideal of the Republican era.

This area in the center of the city has played a critical role in İzmir's reconstruction by erasing the traces of war and fire.

The Role of the İzmir International Fair

Kültürpark and the İzmir International Fair stand as one of the city's most important meeting points in economic, social, cultural, and sporting fields.

The fair has been one of the primary venues where the innovations of the Republic reached broad masses and where the people of İzmir experienced the modernization process.

Architectural Heritage and Three-Dimensional Models

Alongside archival documents and period photographs, the exhibition also reserves a special place for Kültürpark's architectural heritage, presenting digital three-dimensional models to visitors.

Thanks to structures modeled on original plans, architectural structures that have not survived to the present day or have changed are made visible once again.
