Filmekimi 2026 Program Announced: A Cinema Feast in Four Cities
Organized by IKSV, Filmekimi is preparing to welcome cinema lovers in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Mersin between October 9-25.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and the Arts (IKSV), Filmekimi will be held in four different cities this year between October 9-25, 2026. A wide selection, including award-winning productions from the Cannes Film Festival, will be presented to cinema enthusiasts.
Festival Calendar and Cities
Filmekimi will be held simultaneously in Istanbul from October 9-18, in Ankara from October 15-18, and in Izmir and Mersin from October 22-25.
Featured Productions and Directors
The program includes highly anticipated films such as Cristian Mungiu's 'Fjord', Zachary Wigon's 'Victorian Psycho', Pedro Almodovar's 'The Room Next Door', and Laszlo Nemes's 'Resistance'.
World-famous actors such as Javier Bardem and Lea Seydoux will meet the audience in productions selected from various sections of the Cannes Film Festival.
Screening Venues
The festival will be hosted at Kadikoy Cinema, Atlas 1948, City's CineWAM Nisantasi, and Paribu Art in Istanbul; Kizilay Buyulu Fener in Ankara; Paribu Cineverse MaviBahce in Izmir; and Paribu Cineverse Forum Mersin in Mersin.
Ticket Sales Information
Festival tickets will go on general sale via Passo on October 2. Students will be able to purchase tickets for 50 TL through the Eczacibasi Young Ticket application.
