Filmekimi Festival Meets Film Enthusiasts in Four Cities
The screening dates, venues, and ticket sales details for Filmekimi, which will meet cinema enthusiasts in the autumn, have been announced.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts with the sponsorship of Paribu, Filmekimi is preparing to meet cinema enthusiasts in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, and Mersin in October. The rich selection featuring award-winning productions from world festivals will be presented to audiences at designated theaters in various cities.
Festival Dates and City Schedule
This year, the event will meet cinema enthusiasts simultaneously in Istanbul from October 9-18, in Ankara from October 15-18, and in Izmir and Mersin from October 22-25.
Featured Award-Winning Productions
The festival selection will host numerous award-winning productions shown in the Competition, Un Certain Regard, Cannes Premiere, and Directors' Fortnight sections of Cannes.
Among the notable productions in the program is the film Fjord, directed by Cristian Mungiu, which won the Palme d'Or at the 79th Cannes Film Festival.
Movie Theaters Hosting Screenings
Screenings in Istanbul will take place at Kadıköy Sineması, Atlas 1948, City's CineWAM Nişantaşı, and Paribu Art theaters.
Kızılay Büyülü Fener in Ankara, Paribu Cineverse MaviBahçe in Izmir, and Paribu Cineverse Forum Mersin in Mersin will host the screenings.
Ticket Sales Conditions and Discounts
Filmekimi tickets will be available for general sale via Passo on October 2, following a priority sales period for İKSV Tulip Card members.
Students will be able to purchase their tickets for 50 liras within the scope of the Eczacıbaşı Youth Ticket application, and details can be accessed on the official website.
