Curated by Alistair Hicks, the exhibition titled Frank Bowling: Creation and Destruction, with the Intervention of Francis Bacon and Victor Willing, can be visited at the Pera Museum between September 29, 2026, and January 31, 2027.
The Artist's Career and Scope of Works
Spanning a career of over sixty years, the artist born in 1934 expanded the possibilities of paint, developing a unique language nourished by the British painting tradition and American abstraction.
With works in more than fifty collections worldwide, Bowling continues to actively produce art at the age of 92.
Notable Works Included in the Exhibition
The selection features works to be exhibited for the first time, alongside paintings from the renowned Map series and the 2026 painting Re-visiting Mother's House.
