The Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology signed a letter of intent for cooperation with France in Paris to support the VNREDSat-2 Earth observation satellite project.

Signing Ceremony Held in Paris

An important step was taken within the framework of General Secretary and President To Lam's official visit to France and his participation in the Space Summit.

The signing ceremony took place in Paris on September 10, once again embodying the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Signed Letter of Intent for Cooperation

Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology President Tran Hong Thai and relevant French ministry officials signed the letter of intent.

The document was presented to the public and officials in the presence of General Secretary and President To Lam and French President Emmanuel Macron.

Financial Instruments and Mobilization of Support

This signed letter of intent clearly confirms the determination to provide coordination in order to support the VNREDSat-2 Project.

The French side will mobilize the necessary financial instruments and all kinds of support required for the implementation of the project in question.

Next-Generation Step in Satellite Technology

The VNREDSat-2 project builds upon the successfully laid foundations of VNREDSat-1, Vietnam's first Earth observation satellite launched in 2013.

Thanks to the new project, the country aims to take its space observation capabilities to a much more advanced level with a more modern generation of satellites.
