Free Exhibition Tours at Pera Museum in September

The Suna and İnan Kıraç Foundation Pera Museum will organize two free guided tours for art and history enthusiasts throughout September. Taking place on September 18 and 25, the events will cover a wide range from Kütahya tile masters to the trade networks of ancient civilizations.

Coffee, Inspiration and Innovation Tour

Starting at 18.00 within the scope of the event, the tour titled Coffee, Inspiration and Innovation will open its doors to participants by focusing on the Extraordinary Minas exhibition.

In this section, the widespread integration of coffee into Ottoman daily life and the transformation experienced in tile and ceramic production in Kütahya will be addressed in detail.

Highlights of the Exhibition

Among the most striking stops of the tour is the plate series by Minas Avramidis depicting the Story of Genovefa.

Visitors will also have the opportunity to closely examine the close relationship between the novels and lithographic works of the period and these pieces.

Gods, Symbols and Measures Tour

The second leg of the program will continue at 18.45 with the Gods, Symbols and Measures tour organized within the scope of the Art of Measurement exhibition.

In this tour, narratives from Egypt, Mesopotamia, Ancient Greece, and Rome will be examined in depth through weight objects.

Anatolia's Trade History

Thanks to this special tour, Anatolia's 4,000-year-old deep-rooted trade history will be conveyed to visitors by combining it with mythological symbols.

Art lovers can participate in the tours independently if they wish, or they can attend both tours sequentially.
