Facing Germany in the quarter-finals of the 2026 Women's European Volleyball Championship organized by the European Volleyball Confederation, the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team defeated their opponent 3-1 to advance to the semi-finals.
Details of the Quarter-Final Match
In the match played at the Sinan Erdem Sports Hall in Istanbul, the Turkish Women's National Volleyball Team managed to defeat their opponent Germany 3-1.
The match was officiated by Vanya Parvanova from the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation and Bartlomiej Adamczyk from the Polish Volleyball Federation.
Tournament Journey and Group Stage
Turkey had also defeated Germany with a 3-1 score in the championship's Group A match.
Experiencing their only defeat in the group against Poland, Turkey lost 3-2 to their opponent, and Poland finished the group in first place.
Semi-Final Opponent Serbia
Eliminating Greece, Serbia became Turkey's opponent in the semi-finals, and the two teams will face each other on Saturday, September 5.
