The Goran Bregović concert, planned to be held in the ancient city of Sardis—included in the UNESCO World Heritage List—under the auspices of the Manisa Metropolitan Municipality, has been postponed to October 10 due to the mining disaster that occurred in the Soma district.
The concert, which was announced to take place on Saturday, October 3, in the historical atmosphere of Sardis, the capital of the Lydian civilization, was moved to Saturday, October 10, following the deaths of 5 miners as a result of a cave-in at a coal mine in the Soma district.
Condolences and Ticket Announcement from the Municipality
The Manisa Metropolitan Municipality extended its condolences to the families of the deceased miners and the entire public of Manisa, wishing God's mercy upon the mine workers due to the painful loss.
It was reported that tickets previously purchased by citizens for the event will remain valid for the concert on October 10.
