High Interest in the Farewell Tour of the Amadeus Play
As the Amadeus play bids farewell to its audience in its eighth season, it has received great interest, and new additional sessions have been added to the tour program in line with ticket demands.
Written by Peter Shaffer and preparing to bid farewell to the stage with its eighth season, the theater play Amadeus has added extra sessions to its tour program due to the high audience numbers and intense interest it has reached since its first performance.
Farewell Tour and Intense Interest
Art lovers are showing intense interest in the Amadeus play, which is completing its journey on Turkish stages with a farewell tour in its eighth season. In line with this intense demand, additional sessions have been opened in certain cities within the scope of the tour program.
Additional Sessions Added
While extra sessions were included in the planned programs in Eskişehir and Ankara, additional sessions were also opened upon intense demand for two performances to be staged at Zorlu PSM in Istanbul.
Within the scope of the farewell tour, the production is meeting audiences for the last time in Adana, Mersin, Ankara, Kocaeli, Bursa, and Eskişehir, as well as Istanbul.
Strong Cast and Crew
Staged under the direction of Işıl Kasapoğlu, the production features Selçuk Yöntem as Antonio Salieri and Tansu Biçer as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Dilan Çiçek Deniz and Özlem Öçalmaz alternately bring the character of Constanze to life.
With its giant crew of seventy people, and set and costume designs reflecting the spirit of the era, the production ranks among the largest-scale productions of the Turkish theater scene.
An Award-Filled Past
Amadeus has managed to reinforce its success on stage with numerous national and international awards won in the fields of communication and design.
The play was deemed worthy of an international award in the Logo category within the scope of the ADC 100th Annual Awards, alongside 6 Crystal Apple and 4 Felis awards.
Direklerarası Awards
The production was also deemed worthy of awards in three separate categories within the scope of the 20th Direklerarası Audience Awards. While Işıl Kasapoğlu received the Best Director award and Selçuk Yöntem received the Continuous Excellence award, the co-producers were also honored.
The play, a co-production of Çolpan İlhan & Sadri Alışık Theatre and Piu Entertainment, won the Best Production award in this category.
