Honor for Two Directors at the Thessaloniki Film Festival
Oliver Laxe and Nikos Grammatikos will be honored within the scope of the 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival.
The 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival, which will be held this year from November 5 to 15, is preparing to offer special programs and awards for important filmmakers.
Festival Guests Announced
The 67th Thessaloniki International Film Festival will pay tribute to and present awards to two famous directors, Oliver Laxe and Nikos Grammatikos, this year.
Galician director of the film Sirat, Oliver Laxe, who is also known for his screenwriter and actor identities, is among the guests of honor of the festival.
Welcome to the Desert Section
Artistic Director Orestis Andreadakis announced that they will hold a special retrospective titled Welcome to the Desert within the scope of the festival.
In this section, Oliver Laxe's productions Mimosa and Sirat, along with cinema masterpieces extending from the 1930s to the present, will be presented to the audience.
Golden Alexander Honorary Award
Nikos Grammatikos, one of the beloved names of Greek cinema, will be presented with the Golden Alexander Honorary Award during the event.
In addition, a comprehensive retrospective program featuring the master director's feature and short films will meet with cinema enthusiasts.
Thirtieth Anniversary Special Screenings
Truants and Night Flowers, which are shown among the iconic productions of contemporary Greek cinema and are celebrating their 30th anniversary this year, will be screened with special screenings.
