İbrahim Sadri brings 40 years of memories to the stage
Master artist İbrahim Sadri met with his fans in his new one-man show, where he shares the accumulation of his forty years of art and stage life.
Known for his poems and unique narration style, İbrahim Sadri has returned to the audience with his new show titled “İbrahim Sadri Cinema,” which features memories from his 40-year artistic career.
Forty years of memory brought to the stage
Starting last season, “İbrahim Sadri Cinema” brings together the memories the artist has gathered from his approximately 40-year stage and professional life with the audience in a different format. The first show of the new season took place on September 26 at Maltepe Hilltown Seyirlik Sahne.
The atmosphere of the past is re-established
Poetry is not the only thing at the center of the show. Drawing from Istanbul's old daily life, the art world, and his own testimonies, the artist re-establishes the nostalgic atmosphere of the seventies, eighties, and nineties.
The audience is also part of the narrative
Unlike a classic one-man show, the production progresses on interactive communication established with the audience. As photographs, songs, and memories are intertwined, Sadri occasionally makes the audience an active part of the narrative.
Tribute to masters and technical crew
In the show, where Furkan Eren serves as the technical director, alongside humorous stories, a tribute is paid to unforgettable names of the literature and art world. The poems and nostalgic songs recited by Sadri stand out.
New season tour stops announced
“İbrahim Sadri Cinema” will be staged in the upcoming period on October 18 at Başakşehir Emin Saraç Cultural Center and on October 25 in Eyüpsultan. The show will also be taken to Bolu, Sakarya, and Ankara in November.
