International Archeo-Therapy Workshop Held in the Ancient City of Hadrianopolis

Cultural heritage, archaeology, and art therapy were discussed at the 2nd International Art Therapy Workshop and Symposium, held in the ancient city of Hadrianopolis in Eskipazar in cooperation with Karabük University and Granada University.

The "Archeo-Therapy: Living Cultural Heritage, Multiculturalism, and the Transmission of Shared Memory Through Art - II. International Art Therapy Workshop and Symposium" was held in the ancient city of Hadrianopolis in Eskipazar in cooperation with Karabük University and Granada University.

Prominent Figures Attending the Program

The program in the ancient city of Hadrianopolis in Eskipazar was attended by Karabük Governor Oktay Çağatay, Deputy Governor Kerem Süleyman Yüksel, Eskipazar District Governor Kübra Ustaoğlu, and Eskipazar Mayor Serkan Civa.

In addition, KBU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Elif Çepni, Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism İbrahim Şahin, Head of the Hadrianopolis Ancient City Excavations Prof. Dr. Ersin Çelikbaş, and Faculty of Fine Arts Member Prof. Dr. Eda Öz Çelikbaş took part in the event.

Works and Exhibitions of International Participants

Topics such as cultural heritage, archaeology, art therapy, shared memory, and cultural transmission were discussed in detail during the workshop and symposium with contributions from international participants.

Within the framework of the program, the opening of the solo exhibition titled "Drawing and Archaeology: Practices in Cultural Heritage Studies," prepared by Prof. Silvia Susanna Segarra Lagunes from Spain's University of Granada, was held.

Evaluations and Reviews by Protocol

Drawing attention to the importance of reinterpreting Hadrianopolis's cultural heritage through art, Governor Oktay Çağatay stated that transferring this heritage to future generations through the meeting of science and art is extremely valuable.

Governor Çağatay examined the exhibition and received information about the works of Hadrianopolis Excavation Head Prof. Dr. Ersin Çelikbaş, Prof. Dr. Eda Öz Çelikbaş, and Prof. Dr. Silvia Susanna Segarra Lagunes.
