International Çal Grape Harvest Culture and Art Festival Begins

The 29th International Çal Grape Harvest Culture and Art Festival, held for the second time internationally in Denizli's Çal district, opened its doors today with a three-day program featuring culture, art, sports, and entertainment events.

Start of the Festival and Events

The festival held in Denizli's Çal district takes place on September 4-5-6 with the aim of keeping the traditional grape harvest culture alive and promoting the district's values. Throughout the three-day events, local residents and visitors will encounter numerous programs.

First Day Program and Cortege

The first day of the festival started with the Apollon Lermonos Temple Chess Tournament and book promotion stands. In the evening hours, representative grape harvesting, traditional grape treading, molasses boiling activities, and a tractor convoy were held.

Youth Meeting and Art Activities

Within the scope of the program, the 2nd Çal Region Youth Meeting will be held on the second day at the Çal Pasvak Soup Kitchen. In addition, paragliding, art exhibitions, traditional keşkek pounding events, and concerts by local artists will be offered to visitors.

Sports Events and Closing

The final day of the festival will witness sports activities starting with a bicycle tour from Atatürk Park. Awards will be presented to those who rank in the Grape Competition, and the festival will conclude after the concerts.
