Kayseri Culture Road Festival brings together art and traditions on its sixth day
On the sixth day of the festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, exhibitions, workshops, and traditional sports drew great interest across the city.
On the sixth day of the Kayseri Culture Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, stage performances, exhibitions, traditional art workshops, children's activities, and traditional sports were held. Visitors of all ages met with culture and art events in programs spread across various points of the city.
Caucasian Wind Blew in Kayseri
Held at the Kayseri Culture Center under the direction of Conductor Soner Satı, the Caucasian Wind brought the dance culture and stage energy of the Caucasus geography to the festival audience.
In the performance where traditional figures were brought together with dynamic choreographies, a special selection prepared from Caucasian culture was staged and presented to the audience.
Children Met with Street Games
At the street games event held in the garden of the Kayseri Provincial Public Library, children took a break from digital devices and experienced traditional games.
Participating in games such as hopscotch, tug-of-war, jump rope, and musical chairs, children moved together, supporting team spirit and friendship skills.
The Fine Points of Rug Weaving
The Rug Weaving Workshop conducted by Fatma Alkış at the Kayseri İç Kale Archaeology Museum brought adults and children together with the traditional art of weaving.
Participants had the opportunity to get closely acquainted with the Turkish weaving tradition by learning production processes with natural materials such as wool, silk, and cotton.
Ottoman Sacred Relics Exhibition
The Ottoman Sacred Relics Exhibition, prepared by the General Directorate of Cultural Assets and Museums, welcomed its visitors at the Kayseri İç Kale Archaeology Museum.
Organized on the 509th anniversary of Yavuz Sultan Selim bringing the sacred relics to Istanbul, the exhibition featured a total of 37 works, including Kaaba covers and Qurans.
Children's Village Hosted Little Visitors
The Children's Village established in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Nation's Garden hosted various entertaining activities for children on the sixth day of the festival.
Children participating in inflatable playgrounds, creative workshops, and the Karagöz Workshop explored the geography of Cappadocia with virtual reality through the VR Balloon Tour.
Traditional Sports Introduced with EthnoTruck
EthnoTruck, which promotes traditional sports and cultural values in different cities, welcomed families and children at the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Nation's Garden Children's Village.
In addition to archery, mas wrestling, and mangala areas, participants experienced traditional arts hands-on in marbling and linden print workshops.
