The Izmir International Literature Festival brings literature enthusiasts together between September 24-27 with the theme "Literature Heals."
Within the scope of the events organized on the second day of the festival, important names from the art and literature world met with participants.
Talk and Documentary Screening
The guest of honor of the festival, Zülfü Livaneli, and poet Haydar Ergülen gave a comprehensive talk on literature and art during the talk held on the second day.
Following the talk, the documentary titled Livaneli: The Story of a Person and a Country, directed by Nebil Özgentürk, was presented to the audience.
Screening Attracts Great Interest
The highly attended screening at the Izmir Arts Center was followed by many literature enthusiasts not only inside the hall but also from a projection set up in the garden area.
The documentary, which covers Zülfü Livaneli's 80-year life and Turkey's recent history, received full marks from the audience.
