Mining Panel in Gümüşhane and Torul LAMES Festival Evaluated

Following the wild mining panel held in Gümüşhane and the 14th LAMES Science, Culture, and Art Festival organized in Torul, various evaluations and recommendations regarding the efficiency and inclusivity of the events were shared.

LAMES Festival and Emphasis on Inclusivity

The 14th LAMES Science, Culture, and Art Festival, held at the Torul Castle Glass Observation Terrace, was organized this year under the theme "Torul Residents Who Left a Mark on Turkey Meet". Important figures came together at the event, which was organized in cooperation with the Zigana Nature School and the Üçüncüzade Education and Culture Foundation, with the support of the Torul Municipality and under the organization of Selami Üçüncüoğlu.

In the evaluations made after the event, the importance of bringing together all segments contributing to Torul's culture, art, science, and social life in such organizations was emphasized. It was stated that future events should be more inclusive and invitation lists should be kept broader.

Duration and Participant Recommendation for the Mining Panel

The mining panel organized by the Gümüşhane Culture and Art Association (GÜKSAD) and the Gümüşhane Environment Platform (GÜMÇEV) at the Gümüşhane University Mustafa Çalık Congress Center also attracted great interest. It was observed that the program, which lasted approximately three hours, could tire both the participants and the audience.

For similar panels to be organized in the future, it was suggested to increase the number of speakers while keeping the speaking times shorter. It was stated that in this way, different aspects of the subject could be addressed in a more dynamic and efficient manner.
