New Season Opening and Concert Details
Operating under the General Directorate of Fine Arts, the Presidential Classical Turkish Music Choir is preparing to say hello to the 2026-2027 season at the Atatürk Cultural Center.
Historical First and Nihavend Kar Work
Having made it a tradition to perform 'kar'—the greatest composition form of classical Turkish music—at every season opening, the ensemble will this time perform Hacı Faik Bey's kar work in the Nihavend makam. This special work will be presented to art lovers for the first time in the choir's 50-year history.
Soloists and Instrumental Artists
Instrumental artists Lütfiye Özer, Serap Çağlayan, and Volkan Ertem will take the stage in the solo section of the concert, which will be conducted by Mehmet Güntekin.
Gazel Form and Hicaz Works
In the continuation of the program, soloist Bekir Ünlüataer will bring prominent classical works of the Hicaz makam together with music lovers, accompanied by the traditional gazel form.
Closing with the Mahur Makamı
The magnificent season opening concert at the Atatürk Cultural Center will conclude with the choir's performance of distinguished works from the Mahur makamı.
