10 suspects referred to courthouse in Bursa-based social media criminal organization operation
In a simultaneous operation carried out by the Bursa Provincial Directorate of Security teams, suspects seeking hitmen on social media and praising criminal organizations were captured.
In an operation targeting 18 addresses against suspects who made criminal posts on social media platforms, praised criminal organizations, and searched for hitmen in Bursa, a large number of cartridges were seized, and 10 captured suspects were referred to the courthouse.
Search for Hitmen on Social Media
It was determined that the suspects made posts on their social media accounts praising criminal organizations and encouraging organizational activities.
It was detected that the posts on the accounts included calls for criminal actions such as looting places, throwing Molotov cocktails, and injuring people.
Simultaneous Operation Conducted
Under the coordination of the Bursa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, teams from the Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch Office initiated an operation.
Within the scope of the ongoing investigation, a simultaneous operation was carried out at 18 addresses across Bursa targeting 19 suspects identified as making criminal posts.
Large Number of Cartridges Seized
Search operations were conducted at the addresses during the raids, and a large number of cartridges of various sizes were seized.
Suspects Referred to Courthouse
10 of the captured suspects were referred to judicial authorities after the completion of their procedures at the police station.
It was reported that the procedures for 4 of the other suspects are ongoing, and search efforts for 5 individuals are continuing.
