Important Selection at the Festival

Organized by the Adana Metropolitan Municipality, the 33rd International Adana Altın Koza Film Festival is hosting Jocelyne Saab, one of the leading directors of Middle Eastern cinema, within the framework of its World Cinema program. Four films by Lebanese director Jocelyne Saab, whose career extends from journalism to fiction cinema and who turned her camera toward people in the midst of disasters and occupations, are being screened during the festival with their restored digital copies.

Between Resistance and Destruction

The special selection titled Between Resistance and Destruction brings together the director's Beirut Trilogy—known for witnessing various stages of the Lebanese Civil War and the Israeli occupation—and her first fiction feature film, which was featured in the Cannes selection. These important productions are being presented to cinema audiences with their historical and artistic values.

Films to be Screened

Among the restored films included in the selection are Beirut, Never Again, Letter from Beirut, Beirut, My City, and A Very Suspicious Life. Filmed between 1976 and 1985, these works reveal the director's cinematographic perspective.

Screening Venues

Film screenings of the International Adana Altın Koza Film Festival will once again be held this year at the CinemaPink by Maximum theaters located within the 01 Burda AVM. Cinema enthusiasts will be able to follow the film screenings in these halls throughout the festival.
