Search for a Solution Regarding Salary Issues of Atakum Municipality Culture and Art Company Employees
While some personnel salaries were covered through loan payments, new formulas are being investigated for the accumulated receivables of Atakum Municipality company workers.
While a portion of the accumulated personnel salaries at Atakum Municipality was paid with loans drawn after a letter of guarantee, permanent solution efforts have been initiated for the unpaid salaries of workers at the Culture and Art Company.
Council Meeting and Commission Referral
The First Session of the Atakum Municipal Council's October Meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Council Speaker Halil Taşkın.
During this meeting, 4 different items taken onto the agenda were referred to the relevant commissions.
Salary Agenda of Council Members
Taking the floor outside the agenda, AK Party and MHP group council members stated that not all workers' salaries had been paid.
Members emphasized that especially Culture and Art Company employees could not receive their salaries and that this issue needed to be resolved.
Structural Reasons and Legal Status
New Party Group Deputy Chairman Nakif Yılmaz stated that company employees were in a position of creditors due to structural reasons.
Meanwhile, Deputy Council Speaker Halil Taşkın stated that companies must pay salaries from their own revenues.
2027 Fiscal Year Budget Draft
Atakum's 2027 fiscal year preparation budget, which was on the council's agenda, was referred to the Plan and Budget Commission.
Within the scope of the budget, the revenue budget is planned to be approximately 4 billion 650 million TL.
It was announced that the expenditure budget is projected to be approximately 4 billion 750 million TL.
