Şerif Muhiddin Targan's Art Heritage Meets Visitors with Exhibition
An exhibition showcasing the art life and private collection of Turkish music master Şerif Muhiddin Targan opened its doors in Istanbul with the participation of protocol members.
A comprehensive exhibition bringing together the art life and private collection of Şerif Muhiddin Targan, one of the prominent names in Turkish music, was presented to art lovers with a ceremony held at the TÜYEK Beyazıt Manuscript Library.

The opening was held with the participation of Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Coşkun Yılmaz, Fatih Mayor M. Ergün Turan, AK Party Deputy Group Chairman Bahadır Yenişehirlioğlu, and Istanbul Provincial Director of Culture and Tourism Hüseyin Keskin.

Mehmed Akif Ersoy's signed copy of Safahat, which he gifted to Targan, stands out among the most striking pieces of the exhibition.
Handcrafted Instruments and Printed Books
The exhibition also features musical instruments crafted from special materials such as mother-of-pearl, ebony, camel bone, and walnut, alongside rare printed books.

Selected pieces of this special collection, entrusted to the Süleymaniye Manuscript Library by his wife Safiye Ayla Targan, hold an important place in the exhibition.
