Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company Performs Its First Show in Turkey

First Meeting Within the Scope of the Festival
The Istanbul Cultural Road Festival, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, continues to host world-renowned artists and companies. On the fifth day of the festival, one of the established representatives of Russian ballet took the stage.
Great Interest at the Atatürk Cultural Center
The Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company performed its first show in Turkey at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Long queues formed in front of the AKM prior to the event, which drew intense interest.
Repertoire of the Gala Program
The company appeared before the audience with the Stanislavsky Ballet Gala program titled Figures and Counterparts. Select works blending classical ballet tradition with contemporary choreography were staged.
Stage Details of the Night
In the first part of the night, the single-act piece In Dim Figures, prepared by Artistic Director and Choreographer Maxim Sevagin to the music of Antonio Vivaldi, was presented to the appreciation of art lovers.
Selections from World-Famous Works
The program featured a pas de deux from The Talisman, along with duets from Yuri Possokhov’s Reflections, Dmitry Bryantsev’s Illusive Ball, and Ohad Naharin’s Minus 16.

Founded in the 1930s, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Ballet Company brings together choreographic approaches from different eras. To date, the company has organized international tours across many continents.
