Tarık Akan, the legendary name of Turkish cinema, is being commemorated with various events between September 16-20, attended by his family, friends, and loved ones on the 10th anniversary of his passing.
Start of the Commemoration Program
Artist Tarık Akan will be commemorated today with events organized with the participation of his family, artist friends, and loved ones on the 10th anniversary of his death. The commemoration program for Akan, who undertook the founding of the Private Taş Primary and Secondary School in 1991, will begin at the school.
Event Venues and Schedule
The event titled "One Film, One Memory: Tarık Akan" will be held between September 16–20 at Artİstanbul Feshane, İBB Beyoğlu Cinema, and IPA Campus-Pool. The program, which will continue at Bakırköy Square in cooperation with IMM Culture and Bakırköy Municipality, will take place between 19.00 and 21.00.
Film Screenings and Music
During the screenings, "Tatlı Dillim", "Sev Kardeşim", "Maden", "Yol", "Pehlivan", "Ateş Böceği", and "Bizim Aile" will meet the audience. In the art section of the commemoration program, films starring Tarık Akan will be screened, and songs identified with these productions will be performed.
