14. Antakya Uluslararası Film Festivali başladı

Realized with the contributions of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and in cooperation with the Ansam Culture Association and Fotofilm Culture and Art, the 14th Antakya International Film Festival has started to meet audiences in Antakya and Defne.

Locations and Dates of the Festival

The 14th Antakya International Film Festival is greeting cinema enthusiasts in the districts of Antakya and Defne between October 2-8, 2026. The events are being held at the Abdulkadir Teksöz Conference Hall in Antakya and the JCI Youth Center venues in Defne.

A Wide Selection from World Cinema

Featuring numerous feature-length and short productions from Turkey and various countries around the world, the program includes fiction, documentary, experimental films, and international selections. Films from many countries such as France, Palestine, China, Kazakhstan, and Italy are being screened.

Featured Films and Interviews

Notable works in the program include "Between Sky And Sea", "Becoming", "Redacted Dreams", "Human in Quest", "All Alone / Yapayalnız", and "The Lost Claws of Anatolia". Following the screenings, interviews are held for some films with the participation of directors and crew members.

Its Place in the City's Reconstruction Process

Held in Antakya, which is undergoing a reconstruction process following the earthquakes of February 6, 2023, this festival aims to preserve the bond between cinema, culture, and life. Festival Director Mehmet Oflazoğlu drew attention to the importance of this organization in the rebirth of cinema.
