The 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival Meets Audiences on October 22
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts, the festival is preparing to offer a rich program to theatre lovers in October.
Organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts with the sponsorship of Koç Holding Energy Group Companies, the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival is preparing to open its doors on October 22 and will bring theatre lovers together with very special productions.
Festival Program and Curator
Curated by Mehmet Birkiye, the 30th Istanbul Theatre Festival will present art lovers with a comprehensive program consisting of six international and eleven local performances.
In this major arts and culture gathering, which will continue until December 3, two different productions will be supported this year through the İKSV Young Artist Fund.
Honorary Award Goes to Tilbe Saran
The festival's traditional award ceremony was successfully held on the evening of Wednesday, September 9, at The Marmara Hotel Taksim, hosted by Salih Bademci.
At this special ceremony, the Istanbul Theatre Festival Honorary Award was presented to the esteemed actress Tilbe Saran.
Opening Play and International Productions
The festival's opening curtain will rise with the highly anticipated play titled Lacrima, directed by French director Caroline Guiela Nguyen.
Written and directed by Nguyen, the first female director of the Theatre National de Strasbourg, this impressive production will be presented to audiences on October 22-23 at the Zorlu PSM Turkcell Stage.
Venues and Ticket Details
Spanning across the entire city, 17 different venues including the AKM Theatre Hall, Alan Kadıköy, Arter, and Zorlu PSM will open their doors for theatre lovers within the scope of the festival.
While festival tickets have gone on general sale, a limited number of tickets for students have been put on sale for 50 TL within the scope of the Eczacıbaşı Youth Ticket project.
