Beginning with an Award Ceremony
The 33rd International Adana Golden Boll Film Festival made a magnificent start with the Orhan Kemal Labor Awards Ceremony held at the Merkez Park Amphitheatre. Festival juries, numerous guests, and Adana film enthusiasts attended the ceremony hosted by Ali İhsan Varol.
Labor Awards Found Their Recipients
This year, the Orhan Kemal Labor Awards were presented to director and producer Aydın Sayman, actor and screenwriter Macit Koper, and actress Suna Selen. While Suna Selen received her award from Adana Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Zeydan Karalar, Macit Koper dedicated his award to the miners.
Speeches Made During the Night
Actor Menderes Samancılar emphasized the festival's slogan, delivering a message of enlightenment while also reacting to the events in Gaza. Adana Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Mayor Güngör Geçer also delivered a speech drawing attention to the importance of labor and Orhan Kemal.
Nükhet Duru Concert and Festival Program
Taking the stage after the ceremony, Nükhet Duru offered the audience a musical feast with a repertoire consisting of unforgettable songs from Yeşilçam movies, and the opening night ended with this concert. Throughout the festival, 210 films by 154 directors from 23 countries will meet audiences across 450 screenings.
