The 36th Akbank Jazz Festival Begins in Istanbul
Featuring international stars and young musicians, the event will bring music lovers together with a rich program.
The 36th Akbank Jazz Festival is preparing to meet music lovers between September 26 and October 11 across 24 different venues, with the participation of nearly 200 artists from more than 15 countries.

The new program of the 36th Akbank Jazz Festival was announced to the public at a press conference held at the Sakıp Sabancı Museum.
Throughout the event, nearly 200 artists from more than 15 countries will take the stage for music enthusiasts.
International and Local Artists
World-renowned names such as Arturo Sandoval, James Carter, Bugge Wesseltoft, Dhafer Youssef, Yasmine Hamdan, and Nicole Zuraitis will take part in the festival.
In addition to international stars, master names of Turkish jazz and young musicians will also be on stage.
The 'State of Jazz in the City' Approach
The 'State of Jazz in the City' approach treats jazz as a broad cultural space where different generations, geographies, and disciplines meet.
Events are not limited to concerts alone, but also encompass panels, talks, workshops, masterclasses, and listening sessions.
Opening Day Events
On September 26, the first day of the festival, Corda Quintet and Danae Palaka will meet music lovers at Yeldeğirmeni Sanat.
Meanwhile, Joe Armon-Jones will take the stage at Frankhan Selectist to provide audiences with delightful moments.
Special Projects and Series
On the occasion of the 100th birth anniversary of Miles Davis, special talks and workshops will be presented to participants.
Within the scope of the ACT Night series implemented in cooperation with ACT Music, names such as Robinson Khoury and Jakob Manz will perform in Istanbul.
