Traditional Arts Exhibition by Female Artists Opens at the July 15 Democracy Museum

Traditional artworks by female artists were presented to art enthusiasts through a special exhibition opened at the July 15 Democracy Museum.
Visitors have the opportunity to closely examine many different works from deeply rooted art branches such as calligraphy, illumination, miniature, marbling, paper-cutting, and tile art at the exhibition.
Institutional Collaboration Details
The event was brought to life in cooperation with the Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University Turkish Folklore Application and Research Center and the Living Heritage School.
Organized under the title "Traditional Arts from the Hands of Ankara's Female Artists", this meaningful event opened its doors with broad participation.
Visibility of Female Artists
Speaking at the opening, Prof. Dr. Selcan Teke, a faculty member at the HBV Faculty of Literature, Department of Turkish Folklore, stated that their aim is to increase the visibility of female artists.
Teke expressed that while producing works, women successfully demonstrate the subtlety, patience, attention to detail, and visibility of the female spirit.

This special exhibition, featuring select examples of traditional Turkish arts, will continue to welcome visitors until October 10.
