Turkey Culture Route Festival Begins in Istanbul
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Türkiye Culture Route Festival will welcome art lovers in Istanbul, its 20th stop.
Organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Türkiye Culture Route Festival will take place in Istanbul, its 20th stop, from September 26 to October 4 with concerts, exhibitions, and various events over nine days.
Istanbul Program of the Festival
Starting in 2021 as the Beyoğlu Culture Route Festival, the event meets art lovers in Istanbul for the sixth time this year. Lasting for nine days, the festival will witness colorful scenes at many different points across the city.
Minister Ersoy's Evaluation
Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stated that they treat Istanbul as a culture route in its own right. Minister Ersoy expressed that it was meaningful for the festival to have started in Beyoğlu in 2021 and expressed their satisfaction at being back in Istanbul as the 20th stop.
Opening and Concerts
The opening of the festival will take place at the AKM Türk Telekom Opera Hall with a concert by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, one of the UK's esteemed ensembles. The program will also feature the National Arab Orchestra, the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra, and the Presidential Classical Turkish Music Choir.
Open-Air Stages
At the Galataport Clock Tower Square and the AKM Türk Telekom Open-Air Stage, many well-known names such as Özcan Deniz, Murat Boz, Kıraç, Simge, Ceza, and Derya Uluğ will give concerts.
Performing Arts and Theater
Within the scope of the performing arts, important productions such as the Stanislavsky Ballet Gala, along with Swans, Carmen, Delirium, The Abduction from the Seraglio, Cinderella, and Actually There Is No Spoon, will meet the audience.
Exhibitions and Culture Centers
Exhibitions and interviews will be organized at AKM, the Tophane-i Amire Culture and Art Center, Rami Library, and the Tarık Zafer Tunaya Culture Center. A special exhibition from the Taviloğlu Collection will be featured at the AKM Gallery.
Gastronomy Routes
A broad gastronomy route covering centurions' restaurants, tradesmen businesses, and various neighborhoods will be created to introduce visitors to Istanbul's multi-layered culinary culture and taste memory.
