The Türkiye Culture Route Festival, organized for the 18th time by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, met with art lovers for the first time in Kahramanmaraş with a ceremony held at Maraş Castle.

Opening at Maraş Castle

The opening program for Kahramanmaraş, the 18th stop of the Türkiye Culture Route Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, took place at Maraş Castle. The festival is hosting Kahramanmaraş for the first time.

Protocol Attendance

The opening ceremony was attended by Kahramanmaraş Governor Mükerrem Ünlüer, Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı, Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fırat Görgel, members of parliament, protocol members, and numerous citizens.

Event Details

Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism Gökhan Yazgı stated that squares, halls, museums, and cultural venues will meet with art through 208 events across 14 different locations for 9 days.

Museums and Openings

Yazgı noted that they have reopened the Kahramanmaraş Museum and Elbistan City Museum to visitors, and completed the welcome center work at Maraş Castle.

Gastronomy and City Network

Yazgı reminded that Kahramanmaraş was included in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the field of Literature in 2025, and announced that the local culinary culture will be promoted.

Economic and Touristic Contribution

Kahramanmaraş Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Fırat Görgel stated that the festival will make significant contributions to the city's tourism, tradespeople, and economy.

Free Concerts and Art

Within the scope of the nine-day festival, Kıraç, Alişan, Sefo, Ahmet Şafak, Derya Uluğ, Fatma Turgut, Ebru Yaşar, Merve Özbey, and Murat Boz will take the stage at the Kahramanmaraş Fair Center.

Festival End Date

Exhibitions, workshops, talks, and children's events will meet with art lovers all over the city. The events will continue until September 20.
