Turkey Film Days Begins in Uzbekistan
Aiming to strengthen cultural relations between the two countries through cinema, the event will meet with cinema lovers in Tashkent.
Aimed at strengthening the deep-rooted cultural ties between Turkey and Uzbekistan through cinema, the Turkey Film Days will be held between September 25-29 at the Uzbekistan National Palace of Cinema Art.
Purpose and Support of the Event
Aiming to strengthen the deep-rooted cultural ties between the two countries through cinema, the Turkey Film Days are brought to life with the support of the General Directorate of Cinema of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. The four-day event will host cinema lovers at the Uzbekistan National Palace of Cinema Art.
Opening Gala and Famous Names
At the opening gala of the event on September 25, Engin Altan Düzyatan, Özge Gürel, Serkan Çayoğlu, and Deniz Barut will greet Uzbek cinema lovers on the red carpet. Within the scope of the program organized by the Yerli Düşünce Association, famous actors will meet with their fans.
Screening of Whispers of Origins
The mini-series titled "Whispers of Origins", which carries Turkey's cultural and touristic riches to international audiences, will be screened. Engin Altan Düzyatan and Özge Gürel, who share the leading roles in the production, will also come together with the audience on the gala night.
Prominent Actor Meetings
Serkan Çayoğlu, who portrays Fatih Sultan Mehmed in TRT's series "Mehmed: Fetihler Sultanı", and Deniz Barut, who brings the character Gülizar to life in the film "Bak Postacı Geliyor", will come together with their fans in Uzbekistan.
First Film Screening of the Festival
Film screenings will begin on September 26 with "Kesilmiş Bir Ağaç Gibi" (Like a Cut Tree), directed by Tunç Davut. The production, starring Ali İpin, Feyyaz Duman, and Selen Kurtaran, has been designated as Turkey's official submission for the Best International Feature Film category at the 99th Academy Awards.
Closing and Film Schedule
On the second day of the program, September 27, "Bak Postacı Geliyor" directed by Yüksel Aksu will be screened. On September 28, "Mutluyuz Mu?" directed by İbrahim Büyükak and Emrah Aguş will be presented to the audience. Turkey Film Days will conclude on September 29 with "Dedektif Reptır" directed by Emre Karayel and Leyla Yaman.
