Damascus International Recep Tayyip Erdogan Turkish School Meets Students
A new educational institution built in Damascus in line with educational cooperation between Turkey and Syria is opening its doors.
Established in Damascus as a result of educational cooperation efforts between Turkey and Syria, the Damascus International Recep Tayyip Erdogan Turkish School is starting education on Sunday, October 4.
New Cooperation in Education
Within the framework of ongoing coordination efforts between Turkey and Syria, new steps are being taken to support children and young people in Syria in accessing quality education. In this context, preparations for the opening of a new school that will operate under the ministry in the capital Damascus have been completed.
Capacity and Equipment of the School
Incorporating all levels of kindergarten, primary, secondary, and high school, the school consists of a total of 36 classrooms. The educational institution has the capacity to serve approximately 1,000 students as of the 2026-2027 term.
Opening Ceremony and First Class
The opening of the school, located in the Artuz region of Damascus, will take place on Sunday, October 4. A delegation from the Ministry of National Education will participate in the opening program and the first class to be held at the school.
