Domestic and national dredging vessel UAB Mavi Vatan launched with a ceremony

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that Turkey's first suction-type dredging vessel built with domestic resources, UAB Mavi Vatan, has been successfully launched.

Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced the launch of the UAB Mavi Vatan, a suction-type seabed dredging vessel built for the first time in Turkish shipyards with a completely indigenous design.

Technical Specifications

The vessel, whose first block welding took place on April 10, 2025, has a length of 85 meters, a dredging depth of 20 meters, and a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters.

Thanks to its full automation feature, the vessel possesses the capability to perform dredging operations while under way.

Service Process

Following a few months of sea trials and comprehensive marine testing, the UAB Mavi Vatan will be officially commissioned for gulf cleaning and dredging operations.

With this project, dredging and cleaning activities in the gulfs will be able to be carried out using national vessels belonging to the Ministry.
