Revision of the MTP Inflation Target
In the new Medium-Term Program announced by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, the year-end inflation target was revised to 28.4 percent. This development laid the groundwork for the initial evaluations regarding the 2027 minimum wage figures, which concern millions of employees.
Scenarios in the 20 to 30 Percent Band
According to calculations made by Memurlarnet Editor-in-Chief Edip Üzen, it is projected that the 2027 minimum wage increase rate could take shape between 20 percent and 30 percent. The current net minimum wage of 28,075.50 TL is expected to increase with these rates.
Possible New Net Minimum Wage Figures
According to the calculation scenarios, it is estimated that the current wage could rise to approximately 33,690 TL with a 20 percent hike, approximately 35,094 TL with a 25 percent hike, and approximately 36,498 TL with a 30 percent hike.
Economists' Minimum and Maximum Increase Expectations
