5-Language Dictionary Project by Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Mesopotamia Foundation
Signatures have been signed to introduce approximately 5,000 business concepts into Kurdish with their Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and English equivalents.
In line with the protocol signed between the Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Mesopotamia Foundation, a comprehensive dictionary project is being implemented in which approximately 5,000 terms in the field of economy will be featured in five different languages alongside Kurmanji Kurdish.
Scope of the Protocol
Initiated in cooperation with the Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Mesopotamia Foundation, this project aims to strengthen the use of Kurdish in the fields of economy, trade, and the business world.
Details of the 5-Language Dictionary
The Kurdish Economic Terms Dictionary to be prepared will present approximately 5,000 terms based on Kurmanji Kurdish along with their Turkish, Persian, Arabic, and English equivalents.
Expert Commission and Workshops
A special commission consisting of academics and language experts will be established by the Mesopotamia Foundation, and it is planned to hold at least 5 workshops within the scope of the project.
Signing Ceremony and Participants
The cooperation protocol was signed by Faruk Korkmaz, DTSO Board Member Responsible for Language and Culture Studies, and Osman Akyıl, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mesopotamia Foundation.
