7 Companies Under Investigation in Fund Probe: Number of Arrests Rises to 51
As part of the ongoing fund investigation, the records of 7 investment companies have been put under review, while 4 more individuals, including former executives, have been arrested.
Within the scope of the fund investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, fund records belonging to 7 investment companies have been placed under examination, and investor outflows in recent months have been put under the microscope. Following these developments, the total number of arrests in the investigation has reached 51.
Writ Issued to MKK for Investment Companies
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has issued a writ to the Central Registry Agency (MKK) in order to uncover the money and investor traffic of the funds belonging to 7 investment companies as part of the fund investigation.
Outflows Requested for July, August, and September
In the investigation requested by the Prosecutor's Office, data ranging from the establishment of the funds to their liquidation date was demanded, along with information regarding the number, amount, and balance of investors who exited during the months of July, August, and September.
Companies Under Investigation and Articles of Law
Within the framework of the investigation, funds associated with Pusula Finans Anonim Şirketi, Tera Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş, Hedef Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş, Bulls Yatırım Menkul Değerler A.Ş, A1 Capital Menkul Değerler A.Ş, Atlas Menkul Kıymetler Yatırım Ortaklığı, and Pardus Menkul Kıymetler A.Ş are being examined. The proceedings are being carried out within the framework of the provisions of the Turkish Penal Code and the Capital Markets Law.
Number of Arrests in the Investigation Reaches 51
In the latest operations carried out in the fund crisis investigation, 4 more suspects were arrested, bringing the total number of arrests to 51. Among the arrested individuals is Erkan Kilimci, the former deputy governor of the Central Bank.
