Kayseri-based long-established textile manufacturer Orta Anadolu Ticaret ve Sanayi İşletmesi T.A.Ş. announced that it has suspended its production activities as of September 11, 2026, due to the global economic contraction and rising costs.

Orta Anadolu Ticaret ve Sanayi İşletmesi T.A.Ş., founded in 1953, halted its production activities as of September 11, 2026.
It was announced that all of the company's facilities located in Kayseri will be completely closed starting from October 12, 2026.
Denim Supply to Worldwide Brands
Since 1986, the company has produced denim fabric for many internationally recognized major apparel brands.
Orta Anadolu has worked with brands such as Levi's, Mavi, Lee, Wrangler, Diesel, Replay, Guess, Mustang, Super Rifle, and Miss Sixty.
Challenges in the Global Sector
In the statement made by the management, it was noted that the decision was taken as a result of examining the difficult economic conditions in the global textile market.
It was stated that the decline in global demand, rising financing expenses, and fluctuations in the supply chain increased the pressure on the company.
Closure and Commercial Processes
Following the suspension of production activities as of today, it has been finalized that all facilities will close on October 12, 2026.
The company management announced that it will act in coordination with its stakeholders during the closure process in order to fulfill existing commercial obligations.
