Türkiye'nin tekstil devinden kötü haber!

Orta Anadolu Ticaret ve Sanayi İşletmesi T.A.Ş., one of Turkey's long-established industrial organizations, has completely shut down its facilities in Kayseri after 73 years of production activity.

Cessation of Production Activities

Having started production in 1953, Orta Anadolu manufactured denim fabric at its facilities in Kayseri and supplied global brands. The company's production activities in Kayseri were halted as of September 11, 2026.

Reasons for the Closure Decision

Weakening demand in the global textile sector, increasing operational and financing costs, and fluctuations in supply chains played a role in the closure decision. The facilities were completely shut down on September 12.

Restructuring Efforts

The company evaluated various restructuring options to reduce costs and increase efficiency. However, it was concluded that production activities were no longer sustainable under current conditions.

Commercial Obligations and Acknowledgments

Orta Anadolu will continue to work with its stakeholders to fulfill its commercial obligations during the closure process. Management thanked all employees and business partners who contributed to the 73-year period.
